The research aims at development of low-spin Fe complexes with a highly-electron-rich reaction sphere, which effectively cleave strong bond such as Si-Cl, C-Cl, etc. The final goal of this project is to establish new synthetic methodologies by designing well-defined Fe catalysts. New concepts and ideas of molecular-based catalysts are expected to be accumulated by mechanistic investigations using experimental methods as well as theoretical methods.
